If the past few days have shown us anything, it’s that we’re at a pivotal
moment in our country’s history.

It’s incumbent upon each of us to raise our voices to protect the values
that make us who we are: truth, justice, decency, equality, freedom, and
democracy.

These are the values that unite us no matter where we come from or the
party with which we’re registered to vote.

Let’s be very clear: our values are under attack.

We have a lawless president who is abusing the power of his office. Who
uses hate and fear to divide us while he makes money off the presidency.

But make no mistake: Donald Trump and his right-wing allies will spend
whatever it takes to hold on to power -- no matter the cost to our
democracy. We need to have the resources to fight back.
