“Cancel Culture” Takes Down GOA-Sponsored Show
The media censors don’t like TV shows that feature gun ownership in a positive light, especially in the African American community.
Gun Owners of America was sponsoring a show entitled Guns Out TV that was running in the DC Metropolitan area.
But after the third episode which featured black men shooting and enjoying their AR-15s, the Sinclair Broadcast Group cancelled any future episodes from airing.
According to John Crump of Ammoland [[link removed]]: “The broadcaster was concerned because an episode showed the host firing an AK-47. The last episode that aired was about myths surrounding AR-15s.”
Shermichael Singleton, who is one of the shows’ hosts, said: “We tried to reach new gun owners [and] showcase a different side of firearms. We were tired of the negative stereotype about black men with guns and set out on a mission to change that narrative.”
The good news is: Guns Out TV has been picked up by RecoilTV and can be viewed here [[link removed]]. GOA wants to thank its industry partner, Big Daddy Unlimited, not only for sponsoring RecoilTV, but for adding Guns Out TV to its lineup.
GOA Files SCOTUS Brief in Case Involving 2A & 4A Rights
Gun Owners of America, and its foundation (GOF), have submitted an amicus brief [[link removed]] in the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Caniglia v. Strom.
The case involves violations of both the Second and Fourth Amendments, after firearms were confiscated during a welfare check, pursuant to the so-called “community caretaking” exception to the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement.
Erich Pratt, Senior Vice President of GOA, noted that “The chief question in this case is the ‘community caretaking’ exception to the Fourth Amendment, a judge-created doctrine which has evolved and expanded unchecked in the courts over the years.
“If this doctrine is allowed to justify the conduct in this case, law enforcement will be able to confiscate Americans’ firearms without a warrant, under the false banner of keeping our communities safe.”
Arguments before the High Court in this case are set to occur in March. You can read GOA’s amicus brief here [[link removed]].

Montana and Utah Enact GOA-supported Constitutional Carry
Gun Owners of America applauds Montana Governor Greg Gianforte (R) for signing Constitutional Carry into law today.
“Governor Gianforte is a true friend of Montana gun owners,” said GOA Senior Vice President Erich Pratt in a news release.
“The previous governor Steve Bullock kept vetoing legislation to expand permitless carry to the entire state. But with Gianforte, we now have a true Second Amendment champion sitting at the governor’s desk,” Pratt said.
Montana becomes the second state within the past week to join the Constitutional Carry club. Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) signed GOA-endorsed Constitutional Carry on Friday.
GOA members in each state lobbied their state legislators on behalf of these bills -- which, in each case, allow law-abiding citizens to carry firearms without first getting permission.
By signing permitless carry into law, Governors Cox and Gianforte bring the total number of Constitutional Carry states to 18. The full list can be seen here [[link removed]].
GOA encourages residents of Montana and Utah to use GOA’s prewritten letters to thank Governors Gianforte [[link removed]] and Cox [[link removed]].
