Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis has opened a criminal investigation into Donald Trump's January 2 call where he told Georgia's Republican Secretary of State to “find 11,780 votes” in his favor.
It was a blatant attempt to pressure election officials and subvert the will of the people.
Willis has said that she “will enforce the law without fear or favor. Anyone who commits a felony violation of Georgia law in my jurisdiction will be held accountable.”
But Trump's senior advisor is already trying to undermine Willis' efforts, telling supporters that “this is simply the Democrats' latest attempt to score political points by continuing their witch hunt against President Trump, and everybody sees through it.” Trump is yet again trying to wiggle out of justice for the perhaps irreparable damage he's done to our democracy.
