Hi there -- violence against the Asian American community is on the rise. That's not okay.
Since the start of this pandemic, we've seen racism against the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community skyrocket -- spurred on by former President Donald Trump's continual blaming of China for the coronavirus. Now, there's been a series of violent, unprovoked attacks against AAPI folks across the US.
I took a stand against AAPI discrimination while I was in the House, and I'm going to continue fighting against AAPI racism for as long as I can.
Will you join me by adding your name to denounce the violence against the AAPI community?
We're moving towards a period of healing, ushered in by our new president.
We need to continue on the path towards reconciliation by standing up against these race-based attacks and against hate everywhere.
Can you join me in doing that by adding your name today?
Thank you for joining me in condemning this violence,
-- Harley
Harley Rouda served California's 48th district in Congress. In 2018, Harley defeated the 30-year incumbent Dana Rohrabacher in the very first political campaign of Harley's life. During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
