We know we send a lot of fundraising emails, and we think you deserve an explanation about why these messages are so important to Cal’s campaign.
You may not know this, but the majority of our contributions come from folks making small donations, like $5 or $10. The most common occupation among our donors? Teacher. And our average online gift is about $30 or so.
Compare that to our Republican opponent, Thom Tillis -- selling his vote to Mitch McConnell’s network of right-wing billionaires just to keep his campaign well-funded.
Now, you probably know that the last three public polls of this race show Cal beating Thom Tillis next year.
And your donations are the primary reason we’re in a position to finally elect an independent-minded leader to the U.S. Senate who will fight for us -- not the corrupt Washington establishment.
Our FEC deadline is on Monday and we’re worried we could fall a bit short of our goal. Can you rush a contribution to Cal’s campaign before we run out of time?
There are a lot of Senate races in 2020, but few are more competitive than our campaign against Tillis. Cal can win this race, that’s why Republicans are taking it seriously -- so are we.
