Now, defenseless baby calves are critically at risk. With these extreme conditions, they have very little hope of survival.

Calves were exposed to crippling cold climates. Management failed to provide basic protection. And many don’t survive.

ARM’s investigator remains haunted by visions of dead baby calves curled up in a ball, frozen solid to the ground.

Here’s what you need to know:

·      VIOLENTLY RIPPED FROM THEIR MOTHERS. Newborn calves are separated at birth and thrown into isolated hutches, scared and alone.

·      LEFT OUT IN THE COLD. Babies too weak, often sick, and with little protection are left to fend for themselves in unforgiving winter conditions.

·      SLOWLY FREEZE TO DEATH: Unable to properly insulate their frail bodies, the calves endure slow, agonizing deaths from hypothermia. Investigators even found calves dead and frozen solid to the ground.

It’s one of the dairy industry’s dirty little secrets that they keep trying to hide from the public.

In fact, when we first released our evidence of baby calves being left outside in the snow, these greedy dairy companies and Big Dairy responded how shocked they were at the footage. They even went so far as to say that our evidence was doctored. Yeah, nice try.

Worse, they made public promises to you and me that they were putting immediate animal welfare policies into effect to avoid this ever happening again.

But they lied. Here we are, and clearly, nothing has changed.
