Spread The Vote has been in Texas for three years now, helping folks get IDs and get to the polls. But Texas has also been there for us. The state is full of great communities, great activists, and people who really care about each other. Right now, they're going through a rough time. Our three Texas staffers have no power and no heat and they're in the luckier group. Our partners are running out of food and supplies and our Texas ID requests have exploded. IDs are required for hotels, beds in some shelters, and many basic services and this is a rough time to be caught without one.

So I'm writing today to ask you to support some of our best partners across the state, and to help us get IDs for Texas clients as soon as our staff and volunteers are able. 

I know it feels like the hard times just keep coming, but as long as we're here for each other, we'll make it through.
