When we last heard from Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, he was siding with the violent insurrectionist mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol and left five people dead in its wake. In the face of a clear and present threat, he locked arms with the rest of the Sedition Caucus and pushed our democracy to the brink.

Now, as a catastrophic winter storm swept across Texas and left millions of his constituents without heat, electricity, or water, Ted Cruz jetted off to Cancun, Mexico for vacation.

Seriously?

We know by now that no matter how loud the calls are for his resignation, Ted Cruz will ignore them. He clearly takes his position of public trust for granted if he’s comfortable enough to vacation overseas in the midst of a crisis. That means we have to beat him in his re-election campaign.
