Last night we did what we do best: we showed up loud and proud to fight for our people and remind ICE, CBP, and the Biden-Harris administration that We are Undeniable. We took action in front of the ICE building in Washington DC to demand that the Biden Administration stop the deportations that continue under their watch even if a moratorium on deportations was stopped by a judge.

Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has the full discretion to put an end to the harassment and suffering of the immigrant community caused by mass deportations at the hands of ICE and CBP. Already these racist, cruel, anti-immigrant government agencies have deported over 26,000 people since Biden has taken office, including thousands of Black immigrants to countries including Cameroon, Haiti & Jamaica since Biden’s inauguration alone.

Direct actions like these are an important part of our organizing strategy in the fight for justice and equality for undocumented immigrants everywhere, and they can only happen with the support of this grassroots team. Putting a stop to the deportation machine is a promise that Biden campaigned on and we won’t stop showing up and out for our people until he makes good on that promise. First, he must put a stop to all deportations. Then, he must make sure anyone who has been deported can return. Finally, we won’t stop until we abolish ICE and CBP, win permanent protections, and secure a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
