As a fifth-generation rural Coloradan, I’ve worn a lot of hats.

As a farmer, I’ve thrown on my hat and got to work to provide for my family.

As an advocate, I’ve put on my hat and got to work as a state legislator to save my community’s land, water, and economy.

As a Coloradan, I was shocked and horrified to watch Lauren Boebert help spread the lie that our elections were rigged, and fan the flames of insurrection that led to the deaths of five people at the U.S. Capitol. That’s why I’ve decided to announce that I’m throwing my hat in the ring to defeat Lauren Boebert in 2022.

I’m rooted in rural Colorado. And it’s pretty clear to me that Lauren Boebert doesn’t represent the best of this district and this community.

Boebert represents the worst of who we are -- she puts fiction before fact and her extremist agenda over the folks who live in Colorado’s 3rd.

Don’t forget: She’s a proponent of the outlandish “QAnon” conspiracy theory. And a supporter of President Trump’s failed insurrection at the Capitol.

I think, frankly, we’ve had enough of her antics. And I’m sure you have too.
