** 2021 Indigenous Community Media Youth Fellowship Call for Proposals

Cultural Survival is pleased to announce its fourth call for proposals for the Indigenous Community Media Youth Fellowship ([link removed]) which supports Indigenous youth communicators in building their capacity as radio broadcasters and journalists through specific training, community radio visits and exchanges, radio production, conference attendance, and other educational opportunities. Applicants must reside in one of the following countries: Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Nepal and northern India.

Our Fellowship program provides ten fellowships annually to Indigenous youth communicators between the ages of 17-25. Each fellow receives $2,500 USD to implement their project during a 8 to 10 month period. Applicants must be able to work and travel independently and be responsible for implementing their proposed projects. The fellows will work jointly with a Cultural Survival staff member and a personal local mentor, who will provide support throughout the fellowship process. Learn more. ([link removed])

Cultural Survival se complace en anunciar su convocatoria de becas del programa de “Jóvenes Indígenas de Medios Comunitarios 2021” que apoyará a jóvenes Indígenas comunicadores en sus esfuerzos por desarrollar su capacidad como locutores de radio y como periodistas a través de capacitaciones específicas, visitas a otras radios comunitarias, producción radial, asistencia a conferencias y otras oportunidades educativo. Los solicitantes deben residir de los territorios originarios en México, Centroamérica, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile, Namibia, Botswana, Sudáfrica, Nepal y el Norte de India.

Nuestra programa de becas ofrece diez (10) becas al año a jóvenes Indígenas comunicadores/as entre 17 y 25 años de edad. Las becas serán de hasta un máximo de $2,500 dólares estadounidenses por becario. Cada becario recibirá $2,500 USD para implementar su proyecto durante un período de 8 a 10 meses. Los solicitantes deben poder trabajar y viajar de forma independiente y ser responsables de implementar su proyecto. Los becarios trabajarán de manera conjunta con Cultural Survival y con una mentora (una persona que apoya en dar consejo, refuerzo, y ejemplo constructivo a alcanzar el trabajo y metas del becario) local que le apoyará durante todo el proceso de la beca.
