In 2017, I decided to run for Congress because I wanted to serve the community where I grew up, and I wanted to dive deep on the policy issues that would directly impact people’s lives.

Flipping and now holding a district as competitive as Virginia’s 7th is not easy, but I welcome the challenge because I know it means that I get to work on policy and provide constituent services that benefit our community. The success of our campaign has been grounded in my ability to reach voters and get people excited about and engaged in our race, and that is possible because of all of you who generously donated your time and financial support.

Knowing what is ahead, we are starting early this year to build the necessary foundation to ensure we have the strongest campaign possible in 2022.
