Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup and neonicotinoid pesticides are driving catastrophic bee and butterfly declines. Beekeepers reported losing more bees last summer than ever before. And western monarch butterflies have declined by more than 97% in the last 20 years. A new report shows that one quarter of all bee species haven’t been seen in over a decade.

Bees are the canary in the coal mine, showing us that the toxic way we grow our food isn’t working. These essential insects pollinate around 75% of food crops, including fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Without bees, we would run short of many of the food crops we rely on.
It has already started. Newly published research shows that crops like apples, blueberries and cherries are being directly hampered by a lack of bees.
