Dear John,
The Trudeau government is asking Canadians for their budget priorities, but you need to hurry because the online budget consultation is only open for a few more days and well-connected lobbyists are submitting all of their expensive schemes.
Please take a few minutes today and send your ideas for the next federal budget. The government’s online consultation is a seven-question survey (we know it’s heavily biased towards more spending BUT the last two questions allow for longer, open-ended comments.) Just click this link:

The Trudeau government hasn’t presented a budget in almost two years so this one is extremely important. The federal deficit will be almost $400 billion this year, and the government needs a plan to balance the budget.
Most importantly, the Trudeau government must not use the pandemic as an excuse to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on things that have nothing to do with the pandemic.
The federal debt is already rising by more than $1 billion every day, and this debt represents a growing burden on the backs of our children and grandchildren.
Don’t wait – consultations are only open until this Friday, Feb. 19.
You can make a difference by raising your voice with thousands of other Canadians who believe the government should treat your tax dollars with respect.
Thanks for all you do,
- Aaron, Todd, Shannon and the entire CTF team
