We're remembering these names. Why? Because they're the 15 senators up for re-election in 2022 who voted not to even hold Trump's impeachment trial -- and eventually voted to acquit him.

These 15 men and their colleagues decided that the violence that disrupted our democratic process, fostered white supremacy and conspiracy theories nationwide, and had their colleagues and staffers running for their lives was permissible. As the Washington Post stated, "In the eyes of history, Trump's acquittal will convict those who failed to summon the courage to find him guilty."

Imagine if we didn't have to wait for history to convict these men. Imagine if we could punish those who voted to condone violence in 2021 by unseating them in 2022.

Removing all of the Republicans who voted against Trump's impeachment is pretty much a pipe dream -- but at When Democrats Turn Out, we're willing to put our all into it. We're already gearing up to support the progressive candidates who will challenge these corrupt GOPers in 2022 and turn out blue voters nationwide. We're fired up and ready to act -- but it seems the American people aren't there just yet. Our fundraising to fuel these efforts has stalled.
