The leading voice for the 48 million American women living with or at risk of heart disease
Updated Red WomenHeart Banner

Dear John,

Six years ago, WomenHeart launched its annual #29DaysofHeart social media campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in African-American women. Designed to honor Black History Month and Heart Month, the campaign uplifts the voices of Black women while shining a spotlight on the disproportionate impact of heart disease among African-American women and the need to fight for health equity.

This year, WomenHeart has secured 16 partner organizations who are helping to elevate awareness. Along with the faces and voices of several WomenHeart Champions, the messages in the campaign highlight, not only that nearly half of Black women have heart disease, but the links between heart disease and maternal health, diabetes and COVID-19.
