Dear Friend,
Rush Limbaugh loved people, loved conservatism, and loved America. He inspired and gave voice to an entire generation of freedom-loving patriots.
Rush was a fierce, tireless defender of the Great American Experiment. He inspired millions to embrace the principles that galvanized America's founding fathers and enraged the Left with his sharp wit and compelling arguments.
As Rush told me in an interview that ran in The Limbaugh Letter:
"I don’t think we’re in a battle of ideas anymore. The left isn’t made up of idea people, especially after two generations of the corruption of young minds on the college campus. I think they have one objective, and that’s to eliminate us, eliminate all opposition. They don’t have anything in common with us on the founding of America."
In 2009, following a bitter defeat and amidst division within the conservative movement, Rush took the stage at CPAC. In that pivotal moment, he changed the conversation. Rush united our movement and inspired Americans who love their country to rally behind the constitutional principles we hold dear. Instead of playing defense, he called for a new strategy to go on offense -- and it worked.
