John — While Saturday’s vote in the Senate to acquit Trump was disappointing to us all, it came as no surprise. What we saw was a failure of leadership that anyone could have seen coming.

Members of the jury, like Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz, were complicit themselves in the events leading up to the deadly Capitol attack.

Cruz, Lindsey Graham, and Mike Lee even privately met with Trump’s defense team during the trial to give them tips and advice.

The cards were stacked against Eric and the rest of the impeachment team, but that doesn’t take away from the overwhelming evidence compiled against the former President — including video footage of police officers being attacked and abused in the halls of the Capitol while Trump’s mob hunted down members of Congress and the Vice President.
