Just a couple of months ago, my last boss (President Obama) helped launch the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund.

The fund is a promise that our eventual nominee will have a rock-solid party ready to lift them to victory the day the general election begins -- on July 17, 2020.

That means a contribution made today won't sit on the shelf until we select our nominee. Every dollar will be used to fund organizers, innovative data and technology, and groundbreaking research that will help defeat Donald Trump and his allies up and down the ballot next year. This work requires the backing of grassroots supporters like you, so I have to ask:

Will you contribute $3 to the Democratic Unity Fund before Monday's end-of-quarter deadline? Our party can't get this work done without you, and your support before Monday will go a long way.

I worked on President Obama's campaign both in 2008 and for his reelection, John, so I know the incredible amount of infrastructure our eventual nominee will need to defeat Donald Trump and his cronies. Luckily, the Democratic Party is already working on paving the pathway to victory in 2020.

The DNC is assembling and paying young organizers in key battleground states, building world-class data systems to mobilize voters, and shaping the narrative about how Donald Trump and Republicans are hurting American families. John, those efforts won't reach their full potential without your support before this end-of-quarter deadline.
