Dear Friend
Happy New Year! Tomorrow is Rosh Hashanah, which is the Jewish New Year and I want to apologize in advance for all the upcoming phone calls and emails featuring each candidate’s End of Quarter fundraising asks.
Our society is so dominated by Christian ideals, that many people either forget, or were never aware of, other religions’ traditions, their meanings, or their timing. For those who don’t know, Rosh Hashanah takes place this year from Sept. 29th-Oct. 1st, and is a Jewish holiday that is held in a similar regard to Christmas for Christians.
We will do our best to honor and respect your time during this sacred holiday. Admittedly, we do not know the religious leanings of most of our supporters, so I hope you will accept my apology in advance for any unwanted calls and emails during that time.
I know that you’re probably busy preparing, but if you have the time to visit our website we would be very grateful for any support you can lend to help us meet our fundraising goals before the start of the holiday.
Thank you, and again, Happy New Year!
