Just a few days ago, President Biden announced a sweeping new proposal to attack your gun rights.
He asked for onerous new background checks on gun sales and new limits on the types of firearms and ammunition you can purchase.
The President says his ideas are “common sense.”
As the West Virginia Attorney General charged with defending my state and America, I don’t think the President’s ideas represent “common sense.” Rather, they would strike at the very heart of one of our most important constitutional rights: the Second Amendment.
Well, here’s a news flash for you coming out of West Virginia. I am not going to let Joe Biden’s gun-control ideas move forward without a fight.
Right now, I am working with my attorneys general colleagues and other leaders on the best ways we can protect and defend America from these constitutionally-suspect policies.
We have a long history in my Office of defending the 2nd Amendment. I stood strong for the West Virginia constitutional carry law and maintain an A+ rating from trusted gun groups.
I have helped secure reciprocity agreements with dozens of states and have prevailed in court against liberals’ efforts to push gun-control on our citizens.
