Friend,
We are about 3 weeks into the Legislative Session and important bills
around public lands, criminal justice reform and more are already moving.
While this session is a little different than those prior, we still have
one of the most diverse legislatures in the nation! But we also have
serious issues that the state needs to tackle, including raising revenue
to improve our residents’ access to quality public education, health care,
and more.
[ [link removed] ]BBP is live on Facebook again, tomorrow, February 18th at 5:00pm with
two of the newest class of Nevada legislators, Assemblyman Cameron “C.H.”
Miller and Assemblywoman Elaine Marzola. Following up our legislators,
we'll then have an update and discussion on taxing the mines with PLAN
Mining Justice Organizer Ian Bigley! Please bring your questions about the
legislative process and revenue for the chat as we speak with each of
these amazing leaders. Find us at the [ [link removed] ]LINK tomorrow at 5!
See you then,
Will Pregman
Communications Director
P.S. Are you interested in building support for getting mining to pay
their fair share? Join PLAN’s phonebank on February 24th from 2:00pm to
5:00pm to call your fellow Nevadans about the need for mining tax reform
to raise revenue in our state! Sign up: [ [link removed] ]bit.ly/envphonebank
