John,

As dad to three kids and a dog, I’ve seen my fair share of messes. But
nothing *quite* compares to what a hot mess mainstream politics were in
the early 2000s.

I mean, just look at some of the prevailing policies at the time. Don’t
Ask, Don’t Tell? A lot of people wanted to keep it that way. Safety net
programs? Nope. The infamous Crime Bill? Some people still thought it was
great. Raising the minimum wage? Nah. No Child Left Behind and the PATRIOT
Act? Sure, great ideas.

Yeahhh… I’m glad mainstream politics have evolved since
then, John.

But I want you to know this: I’ve *never* had to "evolve" on core issues.
I’ve fought for the same things for the last 20 years, first as Mayor of
Braddock + now as Lieutenant Governor. And I will KEEP fighting for them.
[ [link removed] ]If that sounds like someone you want fighting for you and your family
in the U.S. Senate, will you chip in $5 or more to our campaign right now?

Like the undeniable supremacy of Sheetz > Wawa, some things never
change, John — myself
included.

I’ve always stuck to the core beliefs I’ve held since I first came to
Braddock over 20 years ago: Legal weed ✅, universal health care, LGBTQIA+
protection under law 🌈, beating climate change, second chances 🙏, racial
justice, the union way of life, and raising the minimum wage 💵.

Years before Obergefell v. Hodges, I was officiating gay marriages in
Pennsylvania — the first public official in the Commonwealth to do so
while marriage equality was still illegal.

In 2009, I worked with Senator Ed Markey and even testified before
Congress to support national climate legislation and fight the climate
crisis.

And back in 2007, I was the ONLY elected official in Western Pennsylvania
opposed to running a four-lane interstate that would displace Black
communities like Braddock.

John, here's the deal: I say what I believe to be true, and I
always have. [ [link removed] ]If you think Pennsylvania’s next U.S. Senator should be
steadfast and true, then I’m your dude for 2022. I have to ask: Will you
chip in $5 to our
campaign today?

Thanks for everything,

John
