That’s right. After letting disgraced ex-president Donald Trump get away with inciting a violent insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, the GOP is already strategizing how they’ll take the House and Senate back in 2022.
While we defended our Democratic House majority last November, a handful of seats will determine if we keep it next year. If Republicans build up their war chests and continue to push misinformation and dangerous conspiracy theories to feed into Trump’s base, they could take back enough seats next year to flip the House — we can’t let them succeed.
We know what will happen if Republicans take back the House: they’ll do everything in their power to stall our agenda For the People, including more affordable health care, criminal justice reform, action on climate change and so much more. Everything we’ve been working towards? They’ll block it.
We can’t let a party that refuses to help struggling Americans and supports violent insurrectionists win back the majority. The QAnon Caucus and Trump Republicans should have no place in the future of our government.
That’s why it’s crucial that we start building up our grassroots resources now, so we can not only defend but expand our House majority and carry out progressive change for the people alongside the Biden Administration.
