Many of you have probably seen me helping out at campaign events. I’m usually the one wielding the camera or hammering in the yard signs. While today is my birthday, I want to instead focus on getting my wife Alyse’s campaign off to a rousing start.

Alyse’s campaign has been a family affair from the very beginning. Our kids and I believe in Alyse’s vision for Alaska and we know we need her in Congress to create real solutions to the problems this country faces. [[link removed]]

Alyse is the strongest and hardest working person I know. Despite a difficult upbringing, she succeeded in creating a better life for herself and our four kids. And she didn’t stop there. That’s the woman I married 30 years ago. She wanted to make life better for everyone so she worked for the state to improve public schools and more recently worked as an advocate for public education with Great Alaska Schools.

As we wrap up our first quarter of the campaign, Alyse continues to amaze me with her grit and determination. I know she will amaze you too as our next congresswoman.
