As a veterans' organization, we are not prone to hyperbole. But to say we are in the fight for the future of our democracy is not an exaggeration.
We have a president who is embracing authoritarian rulers around the world and turning allies into enemies everywhere.
We have a president who is offering financial support to countries who will help him dig up dirt on political opponents.
And just yesterday news broke that we have a president who met with the NRA in the White House to discuss their support for his legal defense in exchange for dropping any effort at passing gun safety legislation.
He has to go. Either by an impeachment vote in the House and Senate, or by a vote of the people.
And either way, VoteVets will be at the front of that fight. But we cannot do it alone:
In 2018, we ran ads where most progressive organizations can't – places where we'll need House members to impeach or places we'll need electoral votes to defeat Trump. Our brand is strong, but we can't get active without your support.
