John,
Making ends meet on $7.25 an hour is impossible enough.
Trying to balance it all while being forced to work through a global pandemic is like a punch in the gut. That's why fast-food workers everywhere went on strike this week — again — for a $15 an hour minimum wage, safe working conditions, and dignity on the job.
The Working Families Party has been fighting to raise the wage for decades. We’ve helped win a $15 wage in multiple states. And now, Congress is on the verge of passing a $15 federal minimum wage in the COVID relief package.
We need to bring the fight for $15 home — and we'll do that by electing more champions like Nina Turner to Congress while continuing to organize our neighbors to keep the pressure on their elected officials.
Can you make a contribution today to help us bring home victory in the fight for $15?

It has been more than a decade since Congress last increased the minimum wage — the longest stretch since it was established in 1938. But working families can't wait for Congress to take action, which is why we have been engaging in this fight from all directions:
Over the last few years, the Working Families Party has helped win a $15 minimum wage in multiple states — including Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, as well as Washington DC.
In 2021, we are pushing to win in even more, including Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island — where RI WFP and allies are throwing down on legislation for a path to $15 that just passed the State Senate last week.
And nationally, we are going to continue to hold corporate Democrats accountable for standing in the way of a jobs and care agenda for everyone. That means electing more progressive champions like Nina Turner to join WFP champions in Congress who will lead the fight for a living wage.
And we're not stopping there. In addition to raising the wage, we need to continue fighting for good-paying jobs that include paid time off, sick leave, and the right to join a union.
It has taken a tremendous amount of organizing to get to where we are today on raising the minimum wage — and we can get it done if we push a little harder. Contribute to the Working Families Party today to help us continue this advocacy and elect more leaders who will move this transformative change forward.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
