---Forwarded Message---
Hi team, this is Sen. T’wina Nobles!
As we reach the middle of Black History Month, let us join together to celebrate Black lives and recognize the continued work ahead to advance racial justice and equity in our country.
We have made strides in equity and representation for the Black community. However, as only the second Black woman to ever serve in the WA State Senate, I know there is serious work to be done.
Today, I’m asking you to join me and my colleagues in making racial justice a priority in the Washington State Senate. Will you be one of the 5,000 activists we need to join us now →
Changes can be made here in Washington, and I’m proud that our Senate Democrats have committed to taking bold, progressive action on racial justice. We just passed a bill to provide equity training in public schools and are listening to our activists who are demanding action not only on police reform, but on racial inequities in every part of our society.
Senate Democrats will continue to advance racial justice in issues like housing, education, policing, and healthcare — all issues with a history of inequitable policies that have disproportionately harmed Black Americans.
Friend, it’s important you join us in this effort.
Will you add your name to our petition and sign on in support of bold, progressive action to advance racial justice?
Thank you,
Senator T’wina Nobles
