When State Senator Aaron Ford ran to be Nevada’s Attorney General, he wasn’t afraid to talk about gun legislation. His predecessor had refused to enforce the new Nevada Background Check Law at the time, and Ford knew that his opponent wouldn’t have implemented it either.

Proudly endorsed by Everytown for Gun Safety, the Brady Campaign, and the Giffords PAC, Aaron Ford was willing to have tough conversations about gun safety legislation and what it would take to make Nevada a safer place for families.

Now, as Nevada’s Attorney General, Aaron stood up to his promise, and he hasn’t backed down to the NRA. As the Co-Chair of DAGA (Democratic Attorneys General Association), Aaron has worked with other AGs all over the nation on holding the NRA accountable. When some in Nevada doubted whether they could enforce the new state law regarding background checks, Aaron spoke out and let them know that the law required it.

Attorney General Aaron Ford isn’t afraid to talk about gun legislation and reform. That’s why National Republicans are preparing to go after him. In 2018, his opponent had an A rating from the NRA and was endorsed by their political victory fund. His future opponent will have the same backing, and we can’t let the NRA win here in Nevada.
