![]() Dear John,
I pray that you and your loved ones are safe right now.
By now, nearly 4.3 million of our brothers and sisters here in Texas are struggling without power.
And hundreds of thousands more of our fellow Americans across the country are going through the same challenges.
Meanwhile, handfuls of career politicians from both sides of the aisle are using this devastating storm to point fingers and blame each other. John, this is not the time for political grandstanding – it is not time to blame the other side and try to win cheap political points.
Now is the time to reach out our neighbors and help lift each other up. If there is one thing Texans are known for, it is our resilience.
As tragic as it is, we have dealt with scorching heat waves, devastating hurricanes, and obliterating tornadoes.
The spirit that lifts us up and out of those destructive natural disasters is the same spirit that WILL lift us out of this frigid nightmare.
So John, will you join me in saying a special prayer for the millions of Texans who have been affected by this terrible storm?
And if you’re one of the folks who has been impacted by this storm, please know that all of Texas is praying for you and your family right now.
After you say a special prayer, I hope you will take a moment to check on your neighbors and make sure they are okay.
Even though this storm has taken a massive toll on millions of Texans, it is even harder for elderly folks and those suffering from COVID-19.
The only way we will overcome this setback is by putting aside our differences and lending a helping hand to those in need. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
God Bless,
