Last weekend the Senate was 10 votes short of convicting Donald Trump for the attack he incited on the U.S. Capitol - which resulted in 5 deaths, over a hundred injured, and lasting damage to our democracy. These are the most serious charges ever brought against a President of the United States in the history of our great nation... and the majority of Americans want to see Trump held accountable for his actions.

Some brave Republicans joined the bipartisan vote to convict - demonstrating their commitment to justice. However, the majority of the Senate GOP violated their oaths to the constitution they swore to defend above all else and acquitted the former President. Sadly, many Republican elected officials continue to ignore the facts and peddle falsehoods, but we will not.

This is a crucial moment. Now more than ever we must remain engaged and steadfast in our values and stand up against tyranny. No one is above the law in our great country - even a former President. Now is the time to set a new tone and help the country move forward by making sure that we pass crucial COVID relief, bring down the cost of healthcare, create more jobs, and vaccinate Americans. We must continue the hard work we set out to do.

I hope you’ll join me!
