I hope you are all doing well and survived the cold snap (thank you Colorado oil and gas workers). Below is the update from the Colorado GOP on what our Party, elected officials, and counterparts have been doing the past week.

Greeley Tribune: ([link removed]) President Biden’s first few weeks on the job have clearly been about rewarding liberal donors and trying to bring the failed Obama Administration policies back to life. Biden’s decision to destroy the oil and gas industry will only help foreign energy producers, cost jobs here at home, lose billions in critical tax revenue, and raise energy costs on hardworking families.
As Colorado braces for the impact of more liberal policies, it’s clear that come 2022 Coloradans from across our state will be looking to new leadership to bring our economy, jobs, and state back to life.

Colorado Sun: ([link removed]) In theory, Gov. Jared Polis could keep Colorado under emergency-declaration status for as long as he’s leading the state, giving himself broad powers that he wouldn’t otherwise be able to wield during calmer times.
Big spending? Yes. Suspending regulations? That’s OK. Creating temporary laws? The governor has that power.
Republicans in the Colorado legislature want to take that blank check away in the future and give lawmakers more oversight over emergency declarations and the sweeping authority they grant the state’s chief executive.

KREX: ([link removed]) Today, U.S. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-03) joined U.S. Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05), Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Readiness, for a tour of the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD). The PCD, located in Pueblo, Colorado, is responsible for the safe and secure storage and destruction of our nation’s chemical weapons stockpile.

** Survey: 86% of women-owned businesses in Colorado won’t last over 6 months at current rates

Colorado Politics ([link removed]) : The COVID-19 pandemic is taking a major toll on women business owners in the state, according to a survey by Energize Colorado released Wednesday.
Of women-owned businesses, 86% reported they would not be able to operate for more than six months if current conditions and revenue continue. In addition, 44% reported they would not last another one to three months.

** Cory Gardner Leads PAC Aimed at 'Early Money' for GOP Candidates as an Answer to Left-Wing Groups

Townhall: ([link removed]) Led by former Colorado GOP Senator Cory Gardner, a group of Republican operatives launched a new political action committee (PAC) aimed at giving GOP candidates substantial resources early on in campaigns. The newly-launched National Victory Action Fund ([link removed]) (NVAF) is laser-focused on “early money” for viable candidates, as an answer to left-wing interest groups that bankroll Democrats.
“We speak honestly about what Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer will do now that they have complete control of Washington,” Gardner said of the group’s message to small-dollar donors. “The grassroots is ready to fight against higher taxes, Medicare for All, and the Green New Deal. It’s that energy that will allow us to take back the House and Senate in 2022.”
