John, Republican Senator Mike Shirkey was caught on camera spewing election fraud lies and hurling sexist insults against Gretchen Whitmer.

Let’s be clear here: There’s no evidence that anyone but Trump supporters were behind the Capitol riot, and Mike Shirkey’s lies and insults against Gretchen just further the political divide in our country.

Mike Shirkey should be ashamed for his comments, but instead, he’s refused to directly apologize to the people of Michigan and women everywhere who are all too familiar with sexist insults.

But these attacks won’t stop Gretchen from working night and day to do whatever it takes to help every Michigander out of the pandemic, and we need to be fighting by her side to ensure she can keep Michigan moving forward.
