In the year since, nearly 330 million Covid-tests have been administered

That number would be dramatically lower if Americans were forced to pay
anywhere from $200 to $2,350 out of pocket for a single test.

It was estimated originally that more than 150 million Americans, even
those with ‘good insurance’, could be saddled with surprise bills,
expenses, and surcharges that could easily add up to thousands of dollars
in costs per test.
