It’s halfway through February and halfway through the first quarter of 2021.

So far, Hakeem and House Democrats have:

• Impeached ex-president Donald J. Trump for his incitement of the violent insurrection on the U.S. Capitol last January.
   
• Been negotiating to pass Presiden Biden’s American Rescue Plan to get stimulus checks into the hands of Americans, expand unemployment benefits and provide relief to small businesses, schools, and local governments.
   
• Introduced progressive legislation like the For the People Act to get big money out of politics and strengthen voting rights, the Raise the Wage Act to finally increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour and more.

Plus, Hakeem has been speaking out against the corrosive, toxic QAnon Caucus including right-wing extremists Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Burgess Owens, who’ve pushed dangerous conspiracy theories and defended Trump relentlessly.

We’ve got a lot more work to do, and Hakeem would rather focus on advancing our agenda For the People in Congress than spend his time dialing for dollars to ensure we hit our fundraising goals.
