Hi John,
Any chance you saw Rachel Maddow's show last night?
If you haven't, Amanda made her FIRST appearance. She talked with Rachel about the stakes of our work and how young progressives running for down-ballot office are our key to winning lasting power.
You can watch the full clip here. And after watching, if you can, chip in $5 or whatever feels right.
Over a month after the white supremacist attack on the Capitol, the Huffington Post has identified at least 57 state and local Republican officials who were
there in D.C.
16 GOP members of state houses or assemblies.
4 state senators.
6 county commissioners.
7 city council members.
2 mayors.
3 school board members.
2 prosecutors.
1 state attorney general.
And 16 other officials and party functionaries.
No one who tried to overthrow our democracy should have the responsibility and power of creating and enforcing our laws.
Thankfully, their violence and radicalism won't go unanswered. Since January 6th,
thousands of young people have signed up to Run for Something to help unseat these dangerous radicals and dismantle Trump's legacy in our communities.
As Amanda told Rachel, January was our biggest recruitment month
ever. But supporting this surge of new potential candidates requires more resources than we're currently budgeting for.
How will our community help them? Listen to Amanda speak with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow then chip in $5 to make sure when these young progressive run for something, they WIN.
What are you waiting for? Go watch!
Thank you,
