Trump-aligned QAnon conspiracist Marjorie Taylor Greene, the same woman who suggested that “a bullet to the head would be quicker” to remove Nancy Pelosi from power, is receiving a major boost from her biggest donors.
According to CNBC, “The controversies and the House's disciplinary action against Greene don't appear to be making a dent in her fundraising apparatus and could even boost her chances of getting reelected in 2022.”
This is exactly what we've been worried about, John.
Greene, Josh Hawley, Lauren Boebert and other pro-Trump candidates have only doubled down on their support of conspiracy theories, white nationalism, and violent rhetoric to grow their own political power. And while Democratic engagement has taken a hit since Trump is no longer in power, the GOP is propping up right-wing candidates across the country with millions from Republican donors.
We need to be frank with you: If we don't pick up our fundraising right now, if our supporters stay on the sidelines today, Republicans will take back the Senate and diminish our already razor-thin Democratic majority.
