Did you see the news, friend? Democrats in the General Assembly advanced the Voting Rights Act of Virginia. This legislation would be instrumental in eliminating voter suppression, intimidation, and discrimination in our Commonwealth.
We want to send Richmond a strong message that Virginians are proud supporters of voting rights. Will you join our effort by signing on as a citizen co-sponsor today?
The Voting Rights Act of Virginia is an important reminder of what is possible now that Democrats have full control of Virginia’s government for the first time in over 20 years. Our Democratic legislators are working to protect civil rights and advance racial justice not just during Black History Month, but all year round.
But we can’t forget what we’re up against. Republicans in the Virginia House of Delegates are working hard to obstruct progress at every turn -- they unanimously voted against expanding protections for voting rights. You can help us show our Virginia Democrats that they have our full support by adding your name as a citizen co-sponsor of the Voting Rights Act of Virginia.
