96 [link removed] Dear
John,

This week, one of my fears came true: Democrat leaders
are bringing back earmarks.
Ten years ago, then-Speaker Boehner got rid
of earmarks for good – or so we thought. It was a bipartisan priority to
eliminate the swampy practice of funding lawmakers’ pet projects in
exchange for their support of the priorities of party leadership.
Pelosi and Schumer are bringing it back, which should concern all of us.
Unfortunately, I saw this coming. That’s why I included earmark
eliminations in my Roadmap to Congressional Reform last month.
Americans overwhelmingly despise pork barrel spending because we see it
for what it is. It enables career politicians and further separates
Americans from the lawmaking process. It took the Democrats less than a
month in power to betray the American people and bring back earmarks.
Now more than ever, we need lawmakers of integrity, men and women
willing to stand up for the American people and not kowtow to party
bosses and special interests.
[link removed] Will you help me?
We
must take back the majority next fall. We must elect conservative
lawmakers who are committed to getting rid of earmarks, burying them so
far that no power-hungry Speaker can ever bring them back.
[link removed] Your donations help
me fight back against the progressives trying to push me out of office
and eliminate your voice in Congress. Every dollar helps in the fight to
preserve our values and ensure that leftist policies do not destroy
everything President Trump and Republican leaders built in the last four
years.
I’m honored to serve you in Congress, and I assure you that my
vote will always belong to the people of Oklahoma’s First District, not
special interests.
Thank you,
Kevin Hern
