John,

In the days since announcing that we're officially joining the race to
represent Pennsylvania in the Senate, we've seen contributions large and
small come in from all across our
country. Early
fundraising is so, so important to getting a campaign launched the right
way, so I can't express just how grateful I am for this entire team. Thank
you, John.

But while it certainly matters how much we raise for our campaign, it
matters a whole lot more to me *how* we raise it.

That's why I signed on to the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge — a promise NOT
to accept contributions over $200 from oil, gas, and coal industry
executives, lobbyists, and PACs.

I never have and never will take a dime from the fossil fuel industry.
Climate change is an existential threat, and we need to transition to
clean energy as quickly as possible. And as we do this, we must ensure
that we have a just transition that honors and upholds the union way of
life for workers across Pennsylvania and creates thousands of good-paying
union jobs in the process.

money from corporate PACs — including from the fossil fuel industry — to
win it. So if you're able to chip in $5 today, I'd be

Politics has become far too beholden to monied interests, and I think it's
high time for that to change. That's why I'm proud to say that we aren't
accepting a cent of corporate PAC money — and funds from the fossil fuel
industry will be no exception. But that means we'll be relying even more
