National media are reporting on our push for Merrick Garland to investigate and prosecute Trump and his criminal network for lawbreaking.
ASSOCIATED PRESS: The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a leading progressive advocacy group, issued a petition Saturday night encouraging supporters to call on attorney general nominee Merrick Garland to "investigate and prosecute Trump and his entire criminal network for law breaking."
THE HILL: The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) responded to the Senate trial verdict by circulating a petition to its nearly one million members calling on Biden’s nominee for attorney general, Merrick Garland, to investigate and prosecute Trump and his associates.
Inciting the deadly insurrection against America's government may be the most violent criminal act Trump committed, but it is just the tip of the iceberg of what must be investigated and prosecuted.
Financial crimes. Public corruption. Conspiracy to defraud the United States. Election law and campaign finance violations. The list goes on.
The Washington Post reports: "Family members and associates of Trump are suspected of committing perjury, or lying under oath." The New York Times reports that "Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act on more than 60 occasions."
They all must be brought to justice. No accountability means normalization of law breaking.
