Hi John,

Senator Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Ayanna Pressley are leading a group of Democrats in reintroducing a resolution to cancel up to $50,000 in federal student debt through executive action.

Senator Warren, a longtime advocate for working families, said that the cancelation of up to $50,000 in debt is “the single most effective executive action” Biden can take to “kick-start this economy” and “to help close the racial wealth gap.”

If Biden were to act on the resolution -- evading Republican opposition in Congress -- 36 million Americans could see their debts reduced or eliminated overnight.

A recent College Investor poll found that around 3 in 4 Americans support student loan forgiveness, and we know many Americans would benefit from holding less debt during the pandemic. Today, we would greatly appreciate your input on the issue, especially if alleviating student debt would impact you. Please, let us know:

Would canceling student debt help you or your loved ones?

YES   NO

Thank you for taking today's live poll and sharing your thoughts with us.
