For all of the outrageous news coming out of the White House, it's crucial that we remember: Mitch McConnell and the Republicans in the Senate have bent over backwards for Donald Trump throughout this presidency. They've supported him on every front:

In his eagerness to tear children from their parents' arms and throw them in cages;

In his determination to take access to health care away from as many people as possible;

In his grotesque efforts to strip away even the most basic guarantees of clean air and water;

In his immoral tax giveaway to billionaires and corporations.

Congressional Republicans have abandoned their duty to serve the American people or to serve as a check on the president. If we want change in Washington D.C. we must take back the Senate.
