Josh Hawley, the Republican senator whose early and vocal support for overturning the election helped incite the Capitol riots last month, now thinks he should be rewarded for his treasonous conduct.
On Monday, Hawley wrote to his supporters to complain that his “name has been dragged through the mud” for his defiance of democracy.
“My crime: refusing to do as I am told and allow the 2020 election to be certified with no question,” he blathered. Forgive us if we're not so sympathetic that Hawley has lost thousands of dollars of PAC money and the support of prominent Republicans across the country.
But Hawley is STILL reaping the benefits of his unforgivable conduct. Last month, his campaign raked in almost a million dollars -- more than he's ever raised since joining the Senate. We're doing everything we can to stop him, but we need to know if we have the support of engaged voters like you behind us:
