the chance to be an athlete

Hi there —

My name is Wyatt and I’m a Special Olympics athlete.

When I was little, I looked up to NBA players. At 12 years old, I couldn’t go out for my middle school basketball team because of my cerebral palsy. But I kept trying. My brother pushed me. My best friend pushed me. And Special Olympics gave me the chance to get in the game.

And in 2020, my dreams came true when I got to play with NBA and WNBA legends in the NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game. I joined 12 Special Olympics all-star athletes for NBA All-Star Weekend to show the world how our movement unites people through the power of sports.

Meet Wyatt!

Special Olympics gave me a team to be a part of and I love being a mentor and motivating others. One of my favorite things to do is give someone a high five, on or off the court. Will you give me a high five today for motivation?

✋ HIGH FIVE ME ✋

Thanks for your support,
