** Army Combat Veteran Jeff Dove Launches Campaign for Virginia’s 51^st House of Delegates Seat

** Dove Says to Restore Virginia We Must Stop Settling for Failure

Manassas - Decorated Iraq war veteran, Jeff Dove today announced that he will seek the Republican nomination in Virginia’s 51^st seat for the house of delegates.

Jeff Dove, 39, of Manassas will run in the open seat being vacated by Delegate Hala Ayala(D) as she will not seek re-election. The district comprises various parts of Prince William County. The seat was previously held by Republicans and is among the top takeback opportunities for the GOP.

Dove, who received the Combat Action Badge during his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom, works in information technology for a defense contractor, his wife serves as a civilian employee at the Pentagon.

“I’m running because I believe we need to restore excellence in Richmond,” Dove said. “This campaign is about whether or not our state is satisfied with middle of the pack. We are not leading anymore. We’re following Maryland, or responding to D.C. and we’re not taking a strong leadership role in business, education, Covid response, or infrastructure anymore. The Commonwealth of Virginia should be a leader not a follower. Sadly, Ralph Northam and the Democrat’s feckless leadership have been just fine with these results. Well, I’m fed up.”

Dove describes himself as a candidate who will advocate for Virginia Excellence. He said his campaign will focus on getting the economy moving again after Covid, opening our schools safely as the science says we should, and leading smart infrastructure projects in Northern Virginia so our state is ready to grow and attract new jobs.

“For too long we have allowed those in power to allow Virginia to slip to a middling state and fall behind even our regional competitors. That needs to stop, and Virginia needs a change in the mentality that exists in Richmond that leading from behind is acceptable.”

Raised by a single Mom, Jeff Dove is a native of suburban Washington. He attended five high schools while his mother worked multiple jobs in different cities to support their family. Dove enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2004 as a chemical operations specialist. After serving in Iraq, he returned to the area and married his wife, Stephanie Fallarme-Dove, a federal employee. The Doves have two daughters Serenity and Jasmine.
