** Eighteen months is no time at all for a guy who has been waiting sixty-one years to sit on the throne.
------------------------------------------------------------
The Telegraph ([link removed]) (7/11/19) reports: "The Prince of Wales has warned global leaders they have 18 critical months to solve climate change and restore the balance of nature, ensuring the survival of the human race. The Prince, addressing foreign ministers from around the Commonwealth, said they were 'uniquely positioned' to lead the world by example, urging them to match ambition with 'the practical action that is required.' The leaders of Commonwealth countries will gather next year in Rwanda for a week-long summit, at which they will discuss the 'unparalleled challenges caused by rapid climate change and biodiversity loss.'"

CA regulator in charge of providing permits for fracking fired for...providing permits for fracking.

** E&E News ([link removed])
(7/12/19) reports: "Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) ordered the firing of California's top oil and gas regulator yesterday over an increase in state permits for hydraulic fracturing and allegations of conflicts of interest among senior government officials....Newsom took office in January and O'Leary told Natural Resources Secretary Crowfoot in an email shared with the Associated Press that the number of hydraulic fracturing permits had increased without his knowledge. 'The Governor has long held concerns about fracking and its impacts on Californians and our environment, and knows that ultimately California and our global partners will need to transition away from oil and gas extraction,' O'Leary wrote. 'In the weeks ahead, our office will work with you to find new leadership of [the division] that share this point of view and can run the division accordingly.'"

Environmental permitting holding up offshore wind?

** E&E News ([link removed])
(7/15/19) reports: "Putting massive wind turbines in the ocean is no easy feat, and neither is securing the permits. Vineyard Wind LLC reported Wednesday that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management would delay an anticipated federal environmental analysis for what would likely be the first commercial-scale wind farm in U.S. waters. It was one of two simultaneous hiccups for the project, the other a local permitting dispute."

Nothing says you're here to help the American family like pushing them to the "economic breaking point."

** ashington Examiner ([link removed])
(7/12/19) reports: "The socialistic Green New Deal, pushed by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and winning broad support from Democratic presidential candidates could lead to a $10 increase on a single gallon of gas, according to a new study of the so-called 'carbon tax' and the liberal bid to rid vehicles that burn fossil fuels. The CO2 Coalition's study mostly focused on the government's effort to assign an environmental price on the future 'Social Cost of Carbon,' also looked at the ultimate goal of liberals to rid gas-powered autos, key to the Green New Deal...The result: A $10 per gallon gas tax and final price of some $13, or about the cost of shifting to EVs, about $2,700. 'That is the economic breaking point of driving gas-powered cars,' he said."
