What a week, John.

In a minute I’m going to ask you to make a donation to DFA before our critical end-of-quarter deadline on Monday (if you’re ready to cut to the chase, you can donate $5 here). But if you give me just a moment, I’ll explain why:

It seems like every day there is nothing but chaos and commotion coming out of the White House -- it can get overwhelming, trust me I know. I can’t count the number of times I’ve wanted to throw something at my TV screen.

We’re in the midst of an impeachment crisis, migrant children and families are still being traumatized at the border, folks with pre-existing conditions are terrified of Republicans kicking them off their health care, women across the country are at risk of losing their right to choose...and that’s not the half of it. It’s a lot!

I know it’s easy to feel hopeless, scared, and angry. Like everything is out of your control. Like there’s no point in even trying. But together, we can fight back.

I promise you, when you pitch in to DFA your donation goes directly towards helping people. Your $5 funds progressive candidates to replace dangerous politicians. Your $10 helps marginalized communities fight for their rights. Your $15 allows us to fight back against Trump: Every. Single. Day.
