Dear John,
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably frustrated by the way conservative ideas are being shut out.
I’m not talking about cable news shout-fests or Republican-versus-Democrat mudslinging. I’m talking in-depth conversations on the most important ideas conservatives are grappling with.
That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce the podcast Conservative Conversations with ISI.
And it comes with a Presidents’ Day theme . . . ISI presidents, that is.
The first two episodes, which you can listen to here, feature ISI’s current president, Johnny Burtka, and our very first president, a gentleman by the name of William F. Buckley Jr.
In the debut episode, I interview Johnny about his vision for what he calls “conservatism of the heart.” And in the second episode, we highlight a classic interview with Buckley you’ve probably never heard—but should. WFB addresses an issue that ISI is fighting hard for today: academic freedom.
And if you’re ready to binge, you can listen to the third episode, too: a timely discussion on the future of the American right with First Things editor R. R. Reno and AEI fellow Tim Carney.
You’ll find new episodes twice a month from now on. So subscribe to Conservative Conversations with ISI wherever you listen to podcasts.
Enjoy!
