and Its Borders

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 16, when InSight Crime holds a discussion on cross-border criminal dynamics in Honduras.

During this event, InSight Crime co-director Steven Dudley — and investigators Héctor Silva and Victoria Dittmar – will present an interactive online dashboard that maps out criminal groups and activities in Honduras’ border provinces. They will also discuss the findings of an investigation into the relationship between politicians and civil servants — some in the current government — involved in criminal activities like timber trafficking, drug trafficking and embezzlement.

The discussion will be moderated by Kurt Alan Ver Beek, president of the Association for a More Justice Society (Asociación para una Sociedad más Justa – ASJ) in Honduras. The event begins at 3 p.m. Honduras Time and will be broadcast live in Spanish on YouTube ([link removed]) and in English on Facebook ([link removed]) .
